E. Jakarta BPBD: 50 Personnel Remain on Standby During Long Holidays

The East Jakarta Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD) continues to keep 50 personnel on standby during the Ascension of Jesus Christ holiday until the end of the weekend.

We remain vigilant

East Jakarta BPBD's Regional Coordinator Task Force Head, Sukendar said the personnel continue to run their duties as a disaster preparedness effort that can come at any time.

"We remain vigilant, especially towards areas prone to hydrometeorological disasters in East Jakarta," he expressed, Thursday (5/29).

He explained those who have been trained have the task of anticipating disaster events and providing initial response.

Then monitor the area via a WhatsApp group, coordinate with urban village, conduct mobile checks, including supporting facilities and infrastructure at urban village level such as boats, tents, and others.

"Residents should call 112 for disasters and immediate assistance," he explained.

Based on the current data, the facilities owned by the East Jakarta BPBD spread across 65 urban villages are as follows: eight rubber boats, 63 PE boats, two jerrycan boats, two aluminum boats, and 140 paddles.

Also 33 refugee tents, seven command tents, 14 life jackets, 160 ring buoys, 446 handheld flashlights, and three CSR flashlights.

"We also have inner tubes for 124 trucks, 174 megaphones, 214 stretchers, 19 aluminum ladders, 190 isolation booths, and four ropes," he said.
